Room 9/ 1st Grade

The 2007-2008 school year will be my third year teaching first grade at Ware Elementary.   I hope to build on the positives from last year to create a wonderful learning environment for my students this year.  My students learn quickly that I am a proud Kansas State University Alumni, love interacting with students, and think that learning should also be funJ.

I have known for a very long time that I wanted to be a teacher for one basic reason – to make a difference in the lives of children.  I am a very positive person and will strive to make every individual in my room feel special and part of our group.  I have always thought that the school environment should be a safe and fun place to learn, and I am creating my classroom to reflect this view.  I feel that teamwork is vital to a successful classroom and I enjoy working with others, as well as communicating with the families of my students, to ensure success.  I truly enjoy working with first graders and look forward to a wonderful school year.
