Hello! My name is Kimberly Lang and I will be teaching first grade this year. I am a teacher with enthusiasm and a love for teaching children. I am a recent graduate from Kansas State University and currently live in the town of Manhattan. Go cats!!

First grade brings along many exciting challenges including learning how to read. The children will progress from letter sounds into words, sentences and finally the huge progression into reading. Along with reading, they will begin making the transition from word and sentence writing into entire stories. In math, we will learn how to add, subtract and solve problems. What an exhilarating year!  

I believe that parent support plays a crucial part in the success of children. Together we can help them become self-motivated learners, who discover the importance of determination, inspiration and confidence.  I encourage parents to stop by my room any time to visit. With your help we will have a fun and successful year!
