My name is Ron James and I am extremely excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Ware Elementary. I have my master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership, after completing a two-year program through K-State called the Professional Education Leadership Academy. My other exciting news is that my wife and I now have a baby boy born on February 6, 2008! Children learn better when they are engaged and having fun, so I try to make my classroom fun while teaching. I have very high expectations for all of my students for academics as well as behavior. At third grade we take the state assessments in Math and Reading. My expectation is for every one of my students to score at or above “Meets Standards” on those tests. By the end of the year they will be able to multiply and divide, use various computer programs, complete research projects, write in cursive, and so much more! Even though your children are here at school, they still need your help and guidance. Please help make sure your child is at school and on time every day. It is crucial they are present for every learning opportunity. I believe that as parents and teachers we need to work together to provide your child with the best education. We will work hard in my classroom, but have a lot of fun along the way. If you are ever out at Ware feel free to stop by and visit Room 22.
