Mr. Nick Beckman
Room 31/ 4th Grade

Hello and welcome to room 31! My name is Nick Beckman and this will be my fifth year teaching fourth grade at Ware Elementary. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone but I have enjoyed every minute. I am a graduate of Kansas State University and still enjoy following their athletic teams along with the Chicago Cubs. So, needless to say I haven’t been cheering very loudly the last couple of years. When I am not cheering on the ‘Cats or Cubs I am usually fishing on my free time.

I have very high expectations for my students because they can only be as good as they believe that they can be. Because of this I have a rule in my class that they are not allowed to say the word “can’t”. If you believe that you can do something you will if you believe that you can’t you won’t. I think this theory has worked in the past because I have seen all of my previous students show tremendous growth. The past three years they have also scored extremely well on the Kansas State tests: Standard of Excellence the first two years and we haven’t heard about last year’s results yet but we were very pleased.

I hope to make the kids’ day fun as well as educational, if the kid wants to come to school they are going to want to do their best for you. I hope you will stop in room 31 if you are ever at Ware Elementary and see us!
