A great honor at Ware Elementary is
to be selected as the "Most Improved Student." To be chosen for this honor,
the student must show an improvement in overall behavior and academic
skills. The award is presented on the fourth Thursday of every month.
Students are nominated by their homeroom teacher.
After all the nominations for the month are in, the students’
names are sent to all the teachers in the building.
The students’ SFA, music, and PE teachers help in the selection.
All
of the student’s teachers must agree that the student has improved to be
selected as "Most Improved Student" for that month.
The honored student is awarded a plaque, a calculator
from Cox Communications, coupons from Wendy’s Restaurant, a pen/pencil
holder filled with pencils, rulers, and erasers, the opportunity to have a
photo
taken with the principal, and a photo placed in the Junction City
newspaper.
