Principal's Welcome Letter |
|
With almost six hundred students, Ware Elementary is considered a large school. When parents first arrive they often voice concern their child may not receive personal attention in such a large school. However, our philosophy at Ware is to teach “One Student at a Time.” This focus on each and every child in our school has caused educators and educational organizations across the nation to take notice of Ware Elementary. Last year, Ware Elementary was honored as a:
While receiving awards validates our teacher’s hard work and professionalism, of most significance is our student’s academic growth and achievement. According to state testing, 100% of Ware students tested in Math are proficient and above while 97% of our students tested in reading are proficient and above.
We care very much about each and every student in our school. We work diligently to secure the best teachers we can find for your child. With over one hundred employees in our building, there is always an adult with your child to keep her or him safe during her or his education at Ware.
There are few guarantees in life, however we can guarantee your child receives a quality education at Ware Elementary. We will work closely with you to ensure your child learns the intended curriculum. Realizing our families move frequently, we are well trained in techniques which allow our students to achieve at high levels regardless of their previous experiences.
We look forward to meeting you and educating your child. Welcome to the world of the Ware Bears.
Sincerely, Dr. Deb Gustafson Principal - Ware Elementary School (785)-717-4600
